Spiderhosters servers may be used for lawful purposes only. Transmission, storage, or distribution of any information, data or material in violation of any applicable law or regulation is prohibited. This includes, but is not limited to: copyrighted material, trademark, trade secret or other intellectual property right used without proper authorization, and material that is obscene, defamatory, constitutes an illegal threat, or violates export control laws. Examples of non-acceptable content or links: Pirated software, Hackers programs or archives, Warez sites, MP3, and IRC bots. Any type of forum/discussion board even joomla sites its allowed since it follows the above rules.
spiderhosters does not allow background Daemons such as IRC bots,eggdrop, BitchX, XiRCON and any other program that interferes with normal server operation. No warez is allowed. Web proxies are not tolerated. This includes NPH-Proxy, and web proxy. If your site is found to hold any proxy files, your account will be suspended and cancelled. Newsletters, email spam, are not allowed on the shared hosting servers.
spiderhosters's web hosting accounts are not to be used for the purposes of distributing software and multimedia products. If you wish to distribute software and/or multimedia files, please contact our sales for special arrangement.
File Usage and Storage
spiderhosters's web hosting accounts are not to be used for the purposes of distributing and/or storing an unusual amount of files. We are a web hosting service not a remote file storage service. Any web site whose disk space usage for storing the files exceed 50% of its total usage, either in terms of total size or number of files, will be deemed to be using unusual amount of files. At that point, if we find that those files are illegal or harmful in any way, you will be notified. If you do not have any negative intentions such as causing harm to our server or to others with the files you keep, then you have nothing to worry about. Our company does not want to place limitations at your resources. Any website on our shared servers that uses a high amount of server resources (CPU, memory usage, and network resources) will be given an option to pay for a dedicated server. The abuse and misuse of system resources is a serious problem, and spiderhosters does not tolerate it. Accounts on a shared server must be shared with other users, so you have to respect that. We cannot allow one or two clients to use all of the system resources on a shared machine and have all other clients suffer because of it. Excessive CPU & memory usage by one or more clients causes extreme slowness in all areas: MySQL, Email, HTTP and more. If the CPU & memory usage by a few clients gets out of hand, all sites hosted on the machine will return errors and not be accessible in any way.
Users are prohibited from violating or attempting to violate the security of the Spiderhoster's Network. Violations of system or network security may result in civil or criminal liability. Any attempt to interfere with service to any user, host or network, including, without limitation, via means of overloading, “flooding”, “mail bombing” or “crashing”,will be canceled. Each hosting package purchased is unique to a do main name and use - you are not allowed to purchase multiple plans to obtain combined bandwidth & space. For the reseller packages you can create as many packages as your resources allow. In case that you need extra space and bandwidth contact the customer support even to allow you the unlimited process. We don't support free hosting since we pay a large amount of money to keep your servers steady and online
spiderhosters takes extreme steps to maintain system integrity. However, We will not be responsible for loss of data due to any cause. To ensure the highest level of data protection, spiderhosters recommends that ALL information be backed up on your own computer, via ftp clients or export your database from phpmyadmin or using the backup facilities that we provide you from your cpanel, or purchase a backup solution from us. You can zip also your folders and download them on your hardrive As with any data that you hold a high importance to, it should be in more than one location at all times. spiderhosters data backups are designed against hardware failure not customer user error. Ask our support area how you can backup your files. For the virtual and dedicated plans we always recommend purchasing backup storage/service with any and all systems/services. Clients may purchase backup drives and/or backup storage and perform their own backups--with or without spiderhosters. If backup storage does not exist ,spiderhosters will re-install the operating system and software/configurations previously installed by us, on a new hard drive, and attempt to leave the defective drive in place for the customer to retrieve/restore data--for up to 72 hours after re-installation. If a managed backup solution exists, and spiderhoster's supplied backup software was enabled, we will re-install the operating system and software/configurations previously installed by us , on a new hard drive, and will assist with restoration of the system data, at no additional charge. Managed backup solutions exist automatically for all Virtual Hosting and VPS clientele, as well as Maximum Admin. Fully Managed clientele, however, we always recommends purchasing additional Remote Backup services as well. We cannot guarantee full, or even partial, recovery of data from a failed drive, but will work to the limit of their abilities to restore data from the failed hardware, based on defined policy and procedure. In case of software Failure and Hacked/Compromised Operating Systems, re-installation will be charged a flat rate of 75 euros and assistance with software/configurations and/or data recovery will be billed at a rate of 75euros per hour, in the case of a system suffering software bugs or operating system compromise.If backup storage does not exist, spiderhosters will re-install the operating system and software/configurations previously installed by us, on a new hard drive, and attempt to leave the bug-ridden/compromised drive in place for the customer to retrieve/restore data--for up to 72 hours after re-installation.
Operating System: spiderhosters will perform the initial installation and security/kernel patches and/or updates of any supported operating system, at no additional cost. Supported operating systems currently include: Fedora, Linux 1+, FreeBSS 4+, Windows Server 2003, & CentOS Linux 3+. End-of-life support is still currently being provided for Red Hat Linux 8+ and Windows Server 2000. Re-installation of any server, for reasons other than hardware failure, will be charged a flat rate of 75 euros. spiderhosters will assist with troubleshooting and repairing basic operating system problems for supported operating systems. spiderhosters will not install alternative operating systems, upon client request, which is dealt with on a case by case basis. The supported control panels currently include CPanel, Plesk, & DirectAdmin. A flat rate of 10 eyros will be charged for VPS operating system re-installation. Β The support of basic control panel functions (ie: adding/removing accounts, dns functions, password changes, etc¦) and limited support of control panel installed 3rd party software (ie: proftpd, pureftpd, mailman, agora) will be provided as well. spiderhosters will not provide support of the control panel software, or any of its 3rd party software inclusions, regarding issues of software bugs or errors, and such issues should be brought to the attention of the software vendors directly for support. spiderhosters is not responsible for web development, non-supported 3rd party software and/or scripts (ie: compatibility, installation, maintenance), and/or ongoing daily administration tasks (ie: setting up new users, email accounts, & domains). Exept if you order for a managed service.
Software Updates/Patches and O/S Upgrades:
Software Updates/Patches and O/S Upgrades: spiderhosters will not assist, with control panel updates on unmanaged services and security patches on any system running a supported operating system.The customer may automatically update, including their installed 3rd party software, and may be user-configureable whether or not to do such. spiderhosters may assist with control panel updates at a rate of 75 euros per hour. spiderhosters will automatically update and patch Virtual Hosting, VPS backend, and Maximum Admin Fully Managed systems, spiderhosters may assist with security patches of any VPS unmanaged at a rate of 75 euros per hour, depending of the complexivity of the os update.
Maintenance and Replacement: If any hardware component on a supplied system fails, we will replace it free of charge. All operating systems, supported and non-supported, as well as software/configurations installed prior by us, will be re-installed at no additional cost to the client, in the case of failed hardware. For information regarding system restoration beyond the operating system and software/configurations, please see the section in this document entitled Data Recovery/Backups. Hardware Upgrades: Information on installation/setup fees and/or monthly fees for hardware upgrades is available via the Features Add-On/Upgrade Form. Upgrading hard drives to a different size or type of drive, requiring the re-installation of the operating system and software/configurations, and the transfer of data from the old system/drive(s), will be billed at a rate of 75 euros per hour.
spiderhosters will monitor a single protocol on each system, to verify that the system is operational. The default protocol that is monitored is HTTP (Port 80), however, on systems that do not respond to such, monitoring is performed via another protocol. Available monitoring protocols are HTTP, SMTP, FTP, SSH, and ICMP(PING). The customer may request that a specific protocol and port is monitored, rather than the default selection. Monitoring of multiple ports may be available at an additional cost. Maximum Admin. Fully Managed systems are monitored on multiple protocols, including custom protocols, and may be user-defined. If a server fails to respond to a monitored protocol, spiderhosters will manually attempt to check the status of the server via another protocol. spiderhosters will automatically reboot systems that fail to respond after a second tested protocol fails. If the second tested protocol responds properly, spiderhosters will attempt to log into the system to restore/restart service on the initial failed protocol that was being monitored. spiderhosters does not charge for reboots to any system on the network. It is the clients responsibility to update the root password, and inform us for the change , otherwise we will be unable to restore/restart failed monitored protocols automatically, and will not be held liable for failure to do such. It is the clients responsibility to keep access by spiderhosters's monitoring system ip addresses available to their system, and not blocked via firewall, and to notify us any time a port is changed on a monitored protocol or if a protocol disabled. Otherwise we will be unable to provide monitoring services, and will not be held liable for failure to do such.. In some circumstances, spiderhosters may override and change the root password to your system, in cases deems such necessary to correct an urgent issue.
